Velasco Ore Processing Plant, it is located in the community of the same name, its construction started in 1849 according to a plate, it was probably divided when the owners of Real del Monte Company decided to give a part of it to Carlos Sánchez Mejorada between 1947 and 1949, he was his legal representative and had an important role consolidating the company in the first half of the 20th century. This part of the plant still has the oldest trees of the area, because the Sánchez Mejorada family installed a special irrigation system in order to preserve them.
Is the oldest of the three plants mentioned in this section. It belonged to the Third Count of Regla who sold it in 1824 to the English company. This was the most important ore processing through the Freiberg method during the English period. The hacienda is at Omitlán´s main entrance coming from Real del Monte, due to its location it is possible to see its interior from the street: a dwelling house, vestiges of other buildings and the chimney next to the street. It is private property; therefore, it is not easy to have access to it.
